It's really very sad when even a child already sees love and trust that way. Sometimes it really shows how common hurt, broken promises, and disappointment have become around us.
The painful part is that the bad experiences often leave the deepest memories.
When one's been hurt, comments like that hit harder because part of one will wonders if trusting people is even worth it anymore. But someone else’s betrayal says more about their character than your worth or your ability to love.
Sometimes the world can make love feel tiring.
